Head of Group Strategy in Salling Group
We are looking for a Head of Group Strategy, who will work closely with top management in driving the strategic agenda and supporting the execution of our ambitious Aspire ’28 Group strategy.
The role
You’ll take a ‘hands-on’ approach, supported by a team of highly skilled individuals. The role requires you to actively engage with multiple stakeholders across the company and continuously seek and develop new insights from internal and external sources to support strategic decision-making.
You will drive and support execution of our Group strategy supported by a strong team of approx. 8 strategists and play an important role in:
• Driving our strategic agenda and leading high-impact projects across the Group
• Leading the strategy tracking process and strategic reviews
• Conducting macro, market, peer and trend analyses that provides valuable insights
• Support on M&A and Salling Seeds processes
• Lead and support on Post-Merger Integration
• Acting as a strategic advisor and challenger to top management
• Deliver high-quality deliverables and presentations for top management and board meetings
You will be reporting to Andreas Møballe (SVP, Group Strategy, M&A & Salling Seeds) and be a part of a dynamic team working closely together with M&A & Salling Seeds (Venture Capital arm of Salling Group) as well as engage with multiple stakeholders across the Group.
Your profile
To succeed in the role we imagine that you have:
• A master’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a similar field, combined with top-tier management consulting experience or corporate strategy
• A minimum of 7 years relevant experience
• Prior experience leading a high-performing team of similar size
• Strong stakeholder management skills
• Strong analytical approach and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to simplify analysis into clear insight and communication
• A curious and results-oriented – thrives in an ever changing environment
• A proactive mindset, always seeking new challenges and exceeding targets
• Acts at all times with the highest level of integrity and honesty
