Plastic

Plastic is a huge environmental challenge and must not end up where it doesn't belong. At Salling Group, we continue steadfastly with our ambitions to reduce plastic usage by minimizing it in production, maximizing reuse and avoiding its presence in the environment.

As Denmark's largest grocery business, we bear a great responsibility. We want to assist our customers in using and reusing plastic in a smarter way. We also want to aid our suppliers, for whom we have developed concrete guidelines for all our product types, enabling them to work as responsibly as possible with plastic packaging – this way, we can collectively take responsibility.

It is important to us that the food and groceries in our chains are packaged in a manner that allows for the highest possible rate of plastic recycling.
